I have always been fascinated and often intrigued by the extreme in our event, and how it all comes together In perfect harmony, the fishing village, the local tailor, my boutique, the local video library, the market and so on. All making very strong, and some, very subtle statements in style and fashion. These elements have become an integral part of my process in design, and are one of the infinite things that contribute to my inspiration.
I have wanted to catalogue various pieces of different collections for a long time and broaden the perspective and
approach to fashion. This is the first step towards that idea. |

"I wanted to express an almost "Anti Fashion' like approach to the clothes and shoot in an everyday surrounding bringing out the simplicity and "raw" look of the common 'neighborhood'. A neighborhood I am sure most of us would relate to.
This shoot was truly another burst of creativity, high energy and imagination and the beautiful thing was that I
wasn't alone.
Anand was totally on the same wavelength and understood my perspective and present mood with fashion in a shot! All I said was, that we need to broaden this perspective, and he smiled. At that point I had honestly no idea that it would give birth to this concept and become a series of 180 degrees." |
